Sounds good enough, but once bitten, twice shy, and in this case it's a hell of a lot more times bitten than one..........

Keeping my fingers crossed, but won't be any kind of pre-order from this former AMD fan.

I'm really hoping this pans out :)

My 4930-K at 4.3Ghz is getting boring.

Smart Prefetch got me interested but I'll have to wait for the benchmarks before ordering. For people like me rocking a 2nd gen i7, this may be a good alternative to the 7th gen from Intel. Let's just hope it's not another hype from AMD.

Hopefully this will put pressure on Intel for both their Haswell-E and Broadwell-E platforms as even the entry level cost for a 6800K/5820K in Canadian dollars costs more than what a 6700K goes for and that's not talking about the 5930K/6850K retail edge cost even after brokerage/customs fees. $500 USD would equate to about $656 Canadian (pre-tax) which is a pretty good deal compared to what the 6900K sells for at places such as Newegg, NCIX, etc... Suffice it to say I am happy AMD is back in the game. The CPU market stagnation has become absurd up until Zen and Jim Keller has done it again. Call it Athlon Version 2.0 if you will.

Teasing teasing and too many canned tests again. We'll wait for independent revies to show the weaknesses of the new poster child of AMD. Too many broken promises in the last 5 years. GPU wise i am not jumping up and down as i still play at 1080p and for me a rx480 at 250 cad would do it.

I have to agree. I think AMD has completely blown much of the positive underdog vibe they have by continually promising and not delivering.

To be clear, if this was yet another APU regurgitation it would be ignored on our pages.
