I'll be keeping an eye out on the review sale thread haha. I must be the only nutjob looking for a good AM3+ motherboard.

No, not the only one ^. Maybe when the dollar recovers intel ddr4 platforms will be more affordable and common place but until then I'll stick with amd based systems.

It's good to see that there's a good replacement board available should one of my current boards blows up but that old 790x am2+ just won't quit.

Seems like the perfect AM3+ board. They could probably stop selling the rest of their AM3+ lineup. Well done MSI.

I am curious what kind of load was put on it other than benchmarks. Typically with these types of boards once they're made to work they overheat or throttle from current.

Thanks for the review. A good read.
I've been watching this board for some time now. Local shop carries em.
And yes, I like AMD ( and the pricepoint ), and I'm long overdue for an upgrade.
Cheers.

Nice to see AMD getting some love!

Awesome job Mac....it almost makes me want to dust off my AMD cpu collection and build a rig around one of these wee beasties!

Hey, I ran Prime 95 Large FFTs across all eight-threads on the FX-9590 for a while. I didn't notice any throttling. I mostly had my eye on the power consumption during that time, but there would have been a noticeable decrease if the chip had started throttling.
