Default Intel E7520 chipset supports Xeon X7460? (CPU's FSB higher than MB's)

The motherboard IWill DNS-SATA EATX has Intel E7250 chipset (FSB 800); this is enough to support two Xeon X7460 (FSB 1066)? I heard that some motherboards have the ability to reduce the CPU's FSB to work. Is this the case? I bought a kit with these and don't know if they were used together before, but seller said those items are working (how did he test it?). I didn't find any "CPU Support List" and the manufacturer's website >Iwill.net< is for sale.

I found two Infineon DDR 2GB 333MHz but not bought yet, as I'm not sure if it will work. I'm waiting for the items arrive, but I'm considering in cancelling the deal, as I'll need some time to test if they works. Please, help! ;(

Unless you find someone with first hand experience, your best bet is to check the supported CPU list for the motherboard; if it's not on that list then contacting the support department of the motherboard's manufacturer would be the next step.

says right on that link for site supports Tipos de memória DDR-266 (32GB) / DDR-333 (16GB) / DDR2-400 (16GB)
generally the memory will not allow dividers below what the FSB will natively support.
that being said
CPU REFERENCE CHART FOR: INTEL SERVER CHIPSETS
CPU-Upgrade: Intel E7520 chipset processor support
Intel Xeon chipsets - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
800Mhz FSB on cpu, so, the cpu relies on the chipset for the FSB, in this case, 800Mhz by official support is max 2 cpu at 800 per.

1066 cpu might work, but by spec the specific chipset is 800Mhz FSB supported CPU the next chipset which was first corei ones supported up to 1333

Thank you all!

I received this response from the Intel Support:

Quote:
Besides the FSB clock speed the compatibility also depends on the BIOS providing support for this processor model.
We suggest asking the motherboard manufacturer because their testing requires the use of our processors and not vice-versa. Compatibility and upgrade information is specific to the motherboard; therefore, it comes from the motherboard or computer manufacturer.
I don't have how to contact the manufacturer, as IWill Corporation no longer exists, so I'll trust in your words.

The "vendor" (is a shop) said me they were used together on a server machine, and if does not work, I have an extended guarantee (he made an exception).

If the vendor is a 'shop' then you should easily be able to go in and see it setup and running, if he/she isn't local then screenshots as MARSTG suggested.

Hope it works out for you.

They work w/ eCommerce and as a physical store, but I live far from the store. I already bought the kit (waiting for come), and I will need some time to buy the rest of the system (coolers, case, PSU, etc). Supermicro X7QCE is the only MB I know that fully supports X7460 but is very expensive!

By the way, for how much I should sell the other four X7460?

Ooh. So pretty.
It's been so long since I've seen pins on a CPU, I miss them myself.
