Default ASUS Sabertooth X79 RAM Configuration

Hey there fellow Canucks!

Quick question about this epic board and RAM - I'm getting an i7 4930 processor soon and will be upgrading my current rig to this motherboard; will my Kingston HyperX dual channel RAM still work on it's 1800 mhz XMP profile? I've been hearing that RAM is a little picky on quad channel systems.

Can someone simplify it for me?

From my limited research into this, is you can run dual channel on 2 slots B1&D1

However it's not a good idea to run a quad channel system in dual channel mode. Would recommend getting another set of ram to match what you have IMO
