That issue happened over a year ago, I don't remember the exact driver versions used.

Pull the audio card out and see if there is any difference I have an xonar DX card a couple of years ago also and it did the same thing I pulled the card and it solved the problem I am thinking it was driver problem I tried the card on a couple of different Systems it happened on all accept for my 2p folding machine but that was with newer drivers .
but if you pull the card and the same issues still happen then I suspect malware or the like

sounds like a software related problem to me... I've seen this happen with Asus networking control software. I've also seen this happen with Curse client for WOW.

I am starting to suspect too if the new Asus drivers are causing this problem. So I will first target the audio card via drivers and physically pulling it out and checking. If this remains then I will cater to the malware suspicion.

I will keep you guys updated on how this goes. I will have access to my system sometime next weekend to run the tests.

Thanks.

So the update is this. I went according to what charlie said and I think he is right on track. I physically removed my xonar D2x, started the machine and tested it.The boot was relative fast, stability was good, music played instantly and the stutter was at a minimal.

So I removed the Xonar drivers, ran driver fusion and installed the UNI drivers of maxxedtech.Again I am facing the same exact problem. So is there a clash that is happening between my onboard Realtek Audio and Asus one?the onboard is set to ON in BIOS.
