My System Specs

Default APU's

I never would have considered an AMD APU in my life if I hadn't talked to soullessone21...

I am literally blown away at the performance of these cpus... it runs diablo 3 no problem and I'm sure it would run WOW too. As an option to eliminate a GPU completely from a computer build is nothing short of amazing. I threw an H60 on there for cooling and honestly couldn't be happier.

Money well spent.

Great advice from a great guy. Cheers mang!

No my man nooo Rollo lives here and AMD is the Devil.

Glad you like it. I miss my fm2 setup those chips are just art work. Think AMD should stick to better and better APU's :)

Next lets OC that chip and GPU and if you want to try crossfire with the apu and a gpu there is a kick ass 6670 on sale for less then 70 at memx.

keep us posted on the rig and if you need anything you know where i live.

That's awesome to hear, I'd love to try out an APU to replace my wifes aging AM3 rig. One day I will,

Yeah, I'm seriously considering seeing if I can get enough cash for my secondary WC'd rig (HafX build log) to throw together an mITX APU build.

The 3670k in my htpc is one of the lesser models but nonetheless it is a great chip for what it's used for. I have no regrets for sure.

Yeah the only time I recommend AMD right now is for cheap multi-threaded tasks with no concern for power consumption (FX), or anyone looking for a basic computer that has the ability to play older and/or less demanding games on a budget, or someone that doesn't mind new games with lower graphics settings. They are great if you know where they shine.

Glad to hear you had a positive experience.

125 bux at memx... cant go wrong really I didn't need to buy a GPU ;) Mobo was a refurb special @ 55 dollars.

In my personal experience with HTPC's I've always enjoyed the AMD options over the Intel. So really... CPU/GPU under one cooler? I really cant think of a better option.
