I have a pentium(R) 4(R) is it possible to overclock

If I overclock what will happen and how to do it?

Totally depends on the computer...

If it's something like a Dell then the BIOS will be locked and probably have stock cooling which won't be up to much and will leave you with software options.

What will happen with overclocking... well you increase the speed at which the processor makes calculations.. in effect making it faster..
Be warned that you CAN damage it and that it WILL use more power and generate much more heat.

Would need much more info in order to say anything else really.

What chip is it (which P4), what motherboard, what cooling.. etc?

If the bios doesn't allow overclocking, look up something called a "pin mod" (google 775 pin mod). I'm not sure if I can post outside links but I OC'ed a old P4 system I had with that method as it was a OEM board with a locked bios
