Default AMD FX-9590 Review; Piledriver at 5GHz Comment Thread!!

With the FX-9590, AMD has taken their Piledriver architecture and pushed it to the absolute limit. By running at an astounding 5GHz, this new CPU is the fastest in the FX-series stable.

I am told it may be an ad blocker problem for anyone wondering. Disable it to view the review. I wasn't told of this issue by the folks upstairs....

I was able to open it just fine in Chrome.

This is a good effort from AMD, however the cost/performance is not worth it whatsoever.

I see this as the Bugatti Veyron of AMD. They are doing this just to show what they can do, with no real plans of this being a financial success (But I'm sure people will still buy it...)

The TDP is just insane, but at least they can compete in multi threaded performance. Even then the improvements in single core department is a bit disappointing to say the least.

It is due to my ad blocker. Hopefully this is unintentional Sky? The ad problems on HWC recently have prompted me to re-enable it here, I shouldn't be punished for that.

As for the chip. Impractical? Yep. Hot? Yep. Expensive as hell? Yep.
Awesome? YEP.

Not something I could purchase myself, but nice to see them do something like that for shitsngiggles.

Too bad you did not have a chance to run some FAH numbers.

P.S. The loading issue is purely an Ad Blocker matter - disabling it is the solution.

P.S.S. First page last paragraph: "...for for between $750..."
