My current system is Biostar TA990FXE processor: amd fx-8150 4GB ram ddr3-1333. I badly need your advice for worst thing happens as my system is already years older so I wanna have back up plan based from your experties.

My budget will be more or less 300$

Thank you!

Just to be clear, you're looking to upgrade your motherboard only? Is it dead?

If it still works and you're only looking for better audio, you might want to look at just a good audio card.

Agree with the above. Are you just upgrading the motherboard for sound or did it fail?

The motherboard is already using the top of the line chipset but I don't know anything about overclocking. Even if you upgrade the CPU, you aren't going to get a serious jump in performance. For audio & video editing, 4GB of RAM just doesn't cut it. May be grab a set of 2x4GB and move to 12GB? Try to get the same brand and model to avoid headaches. Also, as the other have said, get a better sound card if audio quality is a priority.
