Yah well that is what I thought too was that a 00 was a good post. I emailed MSI customer support who I previously contacted and knew the situation and they said a 00 means the cpu isn't working and they thought intel should honor their warranty.

Try Intel but it's the board that fried it.. MSI should replace it if Intel don't (Not that I can see Intel refusing)

Well my first build isn't as easy as everyone said it would be! But with that said, the power supply and the processor are in the mail.. now to play the waiting game again. Thankfully the RAM and the GPU still work. Thanks for all the help. More updates to come!

It's easy till you have problems. This is the risk of self builds.. means any hassle is yours and not the system builders.

Well both Corsair and Intel have put their new parts in the mail today so I should be receiving them fairly soon hopefully! On a positive I never realized my psu was outdated so corsair is sending me a newer model.

And here is the update. It works! I have gotten the pc to boot.. however I am having one small issue.. instead of entering bios when I boot shows the bios screen for a split second and then it brings me to a screen that says "reboot and select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key" Help?

Hammer the Delete key as it powers up, just like Street Fighter. Once you're in the BIOS, disable the Quick Boot screen but I suspect the video signal is slower than the boot process.

Hit "pause/break" when it's booting to see what key to press to get into the BIOS. That should be you sorted.
