I wonder how one of these would do in Starcraft 2.

I tried SC2 with an older Llano IGP (A8-3850). 1v1 was playable until armies got maxed, then the frames dropped. I need a minimum of 60fps, so I had to lower the settings all the way to play @ 1680x1050.
When they start using X700+ IGPs, then you'll have something going. But we'll probably have DDR4/5 as a standard by then, which the IGP will need.

Just curious, what kind of performance (boost) would one get using an AMD's own dGPU along with an A10's iGPU, compared to an nVidia's dGPU; in other words, is there a noticeable "boost" with "AMD Dual Graphics" (A10+HDXXXX) vs. A10+GT(X) XXX (nVidia)? Or is it just marketing BS?

That hybrid xfire thing was stupid. You could pair up some 6550 or so with your APU and get a boost, which I assume you're talking about. But if you just use your APU as a CPU and add a 6850, you'd wipe the floor.
Funny thing was, sometimes it would backfire in certain games, and you'd get worse performance over using the discrete card by itself.

Question, would this run BF3 at all? Even at low settings? Resolution wise, let's say 1080p.

There's a guy at work that wants to play BF3 but at the same time he's super cheap.

The 5800K can run at 720P with ok settings as I used my OCed one to do just that on my TV:)

Any more overclocking results for this particular 6800K? Tried it on water yet?

Does anyone know if this chip using IGP will run Minecraft AND record on FRAPS without any lag?
