Sad day. These boards are some of the best, and always have been. My old 965 series intel board is still going strong in a buddies kids computer.

I second that Sagath.
Intel branded boards (foxconn) have always been my backstop when there weren't too many good options out there in the motherboard world.
Its a sad day when Intel is finally dissolving something that was for the longest time a good symbol of stability...

The shift to smaller form factors continues.

Eventually they'll all be just a black box you plug in the wall. Your options will the to choose the colour that matches the decor :(

That makes sense since companies make more from whole system purchases than they do from single component upgrades...

edhahaha January 23, 2013 03:03 PM

does that mean any possible intel mb sale going for next while?

Generic User #2 January 23, 2013 07:30 PM

aren't they just redirecting their mobo resources into SFF mobo development like those DIY AIOs and the NUCs?
