So here's the deal boys, made a few suggestions on "New Builds" only to get immediately trumped by some new Members making suggestions like I really had no business making the suggestions I made....hhhmmm...here's the challenge to you young wipper snappers ( I know I said it), lets see how your "NEW" Systems compare?:
My Rig...its in my Sig, other than 980X @ 4.4 Ghz & 2x SLi GTX 580 Classified @ 925 Ghz 2120 Mhz, Corsair RAM 1600Mhz:
1. Mark 11 - 13,250
2. Vantage - P59,200
3. Heaven - 1358 (Tessellation - Extreme, 16X, 8X and 2560 x 1440).

Anyhow, give it a whirl boys, bearing in mind I havent spent a nickel on my Rig in over 3 yrs, well....did replace the GTX 480's for GTX 580 Classifieds Ultra about a yr ago. Point being sometimes spending more NOW will save you more over the long run!!

Although I really want a Asus RIV Formula w a I7 2011 Socket CPU....just because I havent built a Rig in such a long time ;)

My rig which is getting a refresh and new GPU/Storage:

i7 2600k @ 5.3ghz (1.54v) and 3 gtx 570s at 877mhz.

I'd say your system is still extremely respectable, nobody with a consumer system on air is going to top that.

I'll give an update when I put the 7970s in. So far on my test bench they are the only AMD cards I've ever been happy with.
