HP Pro Liant DL380G5 w/ E5345 2gb comparable to....?

So im looking at getting a server for cheap / free.

I could have a HP Pro Liant DL380G5 w/ E5345 2.66 ( 1, NOT 2 )ddr2 eec 2gb ram, 4x 72 gig sas 10k, dual psu and so on.

Now im aware its fairly older hardware, BUT....What would this be comparable to in terms of consumer equipment. ( I have no xeon comparison experience. )

Assuming I add some ram would this compatible to say, an i5 system? i3? Something lower end / older?

Back story - Just looking to have a remote comp on a fast connection. Will likely host some files, some games, and voice comms....
