Default I7 3770k only an Ivy Bridge?

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum but I have a question for you that I am stumped on! So, I just bought the i7 3770k processor thinking that they were all ivy bridge cpu's. However, I am wondering if some are sandy bridge and that may sound strange of they're only ivy bridge. What caught my eye was the s-type on the box that I have and in addition my processor box says 2011. I read the ivy bridge was released this year so this is where I pose the question, are all of the 3770k cpu's ivy bridge?

Sorry if I rambled on more than I needed to, let's go ivy bridge I know your in there :)

Yes the 3770k is Ivy Bridge socket 1155. The LGA 2011 are 3820, 3930k, 3960k which is SB-E.

Zaraydis, install CPUZ and run it. It will tell you all you need to know about your CPU and memory setup.
