Well there were 52ish, but I have since put the side panel back on and lowered fan speeds and seem to be running 59-62. Power jump is crazy as well about 40W jump from 4.6(my first boot) to 5Ghz. I want to try to up the ram and NB and see if it makes any differences in my work.

*** update I set the LLC to high and it actually reduced temps I am back down to high 40's low 50's under 100% load. tried keeping volts down but was forced to run it at 1.5.

Scaling on my system was;
4.6GHZ @ 1.4V
4.8Ghz @ 1.45V
5Ghz @ 1.5V

Didn't touch NB voltages yet, and set LLC to high for 5Ghz didn't need to less then that. My cooling is push pull H100 Noctua fans.

So, thanks to 10e I have also made the jump to the FX series of chips finaly ... more specificaly the 8350.

So far i can say the following about it:

- Runs cooler @ stock 4 ghz 1.32v idle (32c) vs my 1090T @ 4 ghz 1.45v (39c) as well as at load (38c vs 45c).

- Game preformance has increased (specificaly in wot's average fps went from 20-30 fps max settings @ 1080 to 30-60 fps on the FX)

- winrar preforming unzips/unrar's slightly faster on the fx vs X6

These are again based in a "mega tasking" enviorment- wmp12 playing or paused on music, 2 im's, skype, ventrilo, foxfire with 1 tab & 3 instances of IE 9 with 2-7 tabs at a time going.

I havent bothered to clock higher yet & am working on some numbers to post.

At 200$ the 8350 is a cracking value indeed, selling them like hot bagels lately.

I managed to keep mine in my cart from ncix & scored it for $189 before they bumped it back up to $199 the next week

While it can bottom out into the high teens for fps on some maps in WOT ... those average frames are very fluid with no chop. Of course this depends on your hardware as well.

Currently doing some runs @ 4.2 at stock voltage ... noticing little to no temp diffrence ..

Well, I'm running a GTX680, so I'm pretty sure that my bottleneck is currently my 1055T.

I'm stuck on whether I should just spend $200 and upgrade to an 8350 and use my existing 9-series motherboard. Or if I should wait a little and pony up a little extra for an i7 build. And I say i7 over i5 because of the folding that I do. All I would need is a Z77 motherboard and a processor, but it would still run me over $400.

I am in the same boat right now. Upgrade to an 8350 now or go for an Intel combo. Intel combo is twice the price but....still.

Make that three. Cant decide (even got the mobo here for it...as well as the 32GB's of RAM).... Think I will do both and make two rigs. :)
