Which system would be better?

Hey Guys, which of these two systems would you recommend for my son. He mainly uses it for Skype, FB and Minecraft and he is currently running Windows 7 64bit and 9800 GT Eco video card:

Asrock 939 Dual Vsta board with a FX-60 cpu (2.6 Ghz dual core which will run at 2.8Ghz if overclocked), 4x1 GB DDRII 400

or

Some generic AM2+ board, 2.2 GHz X2 CPU and 2x1 GB DDRII 400 ram.



I am assuming the older board is better due to the higher amount of ram and faster CPU, what do you think?

I play Minecraft time to time and the fans ( Asus as 2 ) of my GTX 560 speed up, so it's demanding on the GPU ( all true I copy and Paste huge schematics. )

For now the GPU will remain the same unless you think a older 2900XT will handled it better?

more ram is always better than fewer but faster, so first option

If he plans to run any texture packs I've found that I was more limited by my Q6600 when playing minecraft than by my 8800GT. How much so was hard to tell but even with an overclocked 3570k it still eats up 50% cpu with 256bit texture packs (have a 470 gpu).
