I accidentally shorted me mobo putting a screw in and all I had to do was reset the bios. Man that almost gave me heart failure. My Baby! But it is alright.

Me killing my Maximus made the decision to get my DFI a LOT easier. Kinda regret it though, this DFI is a pain in the Arse! I wish I could make my own BIOS's

Can it kill the motherboard yes it just all depends on what gets shorted. The only way you,ll know is to retry it without the short of coarse. If it works great if not oooops. I've done a few bone heads moves in my day too lol and sometimes it wasnt cheap. I've blownup so many motherboards overclocking with a prommie it wasnt funny..

You can add me to the list of people who've shorted out a mobo. Unfortunately there was some black smoke when I powered it on so that was the end of that. First and only time thankfully. Always remember to take all loose screws out of the case

Good luck and hopefully it will still work for you.

finally.. lol
just got the shipment confimation from CC.... 4 days later, for all my stuff for this build and my own personal upgrade.
Anyone here have the Coolermaster Hyper 212? I heard it was VERY VERY similar is cooling to the TRUE, and it was 20 bucks cheaper... so I'm wondering if i made the right decision for my personal upgrade... :S
