by todays' standards 4gb is a minimum. My recommendation to keep costs down would be a cheap 1155 CPU and a budget graphics card. Here is a review of a Pentium G620 with HD6670 vs A8 3870k. You could go up on the video card if you felt the need, but it should be fine for what it will be used for.

^thanks for the recommendation

the 2GB was fine for Win7 web browsing/youtubing. but ya, I don't remember anyone playing games on that system.

i would feel kinda gross buying DDR2 ram :/

Here is the basis for a cheap gamer (its not going to be feature rich, but it will work no problem).

HD 6670 for $50 or HD 7750 for $80 after MIR

Cheap MOB for $50

Celeron G540 for $40

4Gb Ram for $25

Seasonic 350w power supply for $20

Thats $185/$205after MIR depending on graphics card. Add a case, hard drive, dvd burner ($15), and an OS and you are good to go.

i recommend 7750 if you can find one under 100$. 7770 under 120$.
Ram is relatively cheap nowadays, it shouldnt be a problem to grab 4gigs for 25$. or heck a little higher 41$ for g.skills or corsair ram.

Processor wise, Intel for future proof. Amd is right now, i don't recommend it.

Best luck.

The onboard GPU will be fine to play MOH at 1080P max settings.
