Default AMD CPU price drops. Some substantial.

Not that AMD cpu are really being grabbed at or talked about at this time, but some good price drops for those that are interested (from 1-23%).

AMD to drop prices, launch FX-4130 CPU on August 27

Good for the budget build, and even better with price drops on the way.

For me it's unfortunately too little too late. A high end BD at the same price as the previous (comparable performance) PhII model might have got my interest when BD was released, but that boat left the dock long ago.

In fact, I'm mulling over putting the sabertooth + dual core proc up for sale/trade just to remove the constant reminder of how disapointed I was in BD.

Let me know what you want for the Sabertooth. If the price is right, I may jump on that. Same with the Athlon. I could transfer my M5A97 to the HTPC and run your Athlon II with that board

I'm looking for a nice PHII Quad for my PC. I gave my 10 year old my Bulldozer PC, it still is an excellent PC for him.

Heh... the athlon is the dual core.... ;)

And I'm thinking along the same terms WRT an HTPC but I've got a dual core i3 on a mATX motherboard which will fill those boots.

I would be interested in the Sabertooth....

The AthlonII would only be to find a use for my current AM3+ board. I couldn't run my Athlon I on that board because AM2 is not forward compatible with AM3+, so my M5a97 would sit dormant (or I would sell it). My current HTPC system actually runs just fine, but I'd never complain about extra horsepower.

they list a 1090t, where you can find a new one ?...... I'm pretty happy with my Dozer, it work flawless, the only rant I have is that I would like an AMD version of Iike Intel RST. my 2600k is setup with Intel RST, and frankly I see no difference with a regular SSD as OS drive, it boot in the same time as my Dozer with a SSD as OS drive.

If my whole rig blow up or was stolen, etc, I'd get a x4 955 for $85 for sure. Just checked newegg, seems they don't really sell them anymore.

I've been noticing many of the phenom II series cpu's have been randomly popping up in small batches at different e tailers over the past while. Couldn't find em forever but they been getting batches I guess.
