That's the board i've pretty much decided on for my full sized build.

I was having a tough time deciding between a full sized build and a mini itx build, but I decided to do both.

Is there a reason you didnt consider the Asus Maximus V Gene? Great board.

just size. a micro atx is almost 3" larger both ways vs. a mini-itx board.

i'm going to do a custom enclosure out of some exotic hardwoods, and i've got some good ideas for a very small form factor.

I probably should be stating this in all my threads on these projects, but i'm not a gamer.
so the performance needs are much less than it would be for some of you.

I would go with the ASRock Z77 Exetreme6 or even better the ASRock Z77 Professional.I went with ASRock with my i7-3820 and love it ,overclocks like mad and is very stable.

The Asus/ASRock stuff seem to show up at the top of everyone's list.
