IS them CPU Water Coolers safe

I keep looking at reviews where people say the same thing ,they really did'nt see much of a difference going from a H-60 to a H-100.The price sure is different.I could'nt use a H-100 anyway unless I bought a new case.The Corsair H-70 looks like it will be the one I end of with,but the H-60 is getting pretty good reviews to excpecially when hooking two fans up with it.I see most doing 4.7gigs at 1.35v and they say they idle around 27c to 29c and with prime95 they hit 48c.Since I can run my i7-3820 at 4.750gig at 1.3v ,I should see those kind of tempertures mybe a little lower since I will be useing less voltage .I am hopeing for 5gigs at 1.325v and hopely stay under 60c with a water cooler since they seem to work best on load tempertures.I know that it will boot into window at 5.3gig at 1.468 or it may have been higher I did'nt do do much when I seen my tempertures idle at 48c and I started prime 95 but it went to 85c quick and I quickly rebooted it and set everthing back down.I was worried that I might have damaged my CPU but I think this board has a hard shutdown if the tempertures gets to high ,I am sure it was on it's way of shutiing down with the tempertures I was quickly getting.But if I get 5gigs at a resonable tempertures I will be happy.I should have bought a water cooler to begain with,but I did not know they are so cheap now.And besides my Cheap $35 212 EVO cooler is doing a great job for air cooling.

I know of one user who failed to manage the hose on the H60.
it got nicked by a fan and leaked out.
He fortunately did not suffer any damage to his other hardware damage and still went back to same unit.
no RMA from Corsair as it was deemed "user failure to read install instructions"

I still think that if you want watercooler, go with the full monty.
the Raystorm kits at DAZstore start at 250bucks and way more fun to install.

I bought a ray storm kit myself and I get idles of around 20-25 and max load of 40 (getting close to summer otherwise its around 35) and like bung said it was a blast to put together and run. However back on topic I did have a H60 and got good temps from it (managed to kill the pump myself but no fault to corsair)

IMO. I've owned the H80 and H100,and even though they are very good and stable coolers,they can't compare to the 920 from Antec. During several hours of gaming,the temps don't get higher than 60c,and you can't hear that thing at all. Really. The 920 is dead quiet at default settings. All I did was install the 920 drivers,and nothing else. There are quite a few fan speed,temperature set,graphs etc. settings to adjust and play with,but I didn't touch any of the options. I simply installed it and started heavy gaming with no issues of any kind. Well worth checking this out. The one thing that really gets me,is how quiet the 920 is. You just can't hear it. Almost like it's not running.

lately the noise of my CM V6GT has been getting to me. For me, the CPU fan is the loudest component aside from my GPU when it's ramped up.

I'm assuming there would be a significant decrease in audible noise levels if I say, switched to something like Corsair/Antec water cooling?

A corsair closed loop is the best by far, for 60 bucks get a H60, it does an excellent job for the price.

I wouldnt say by far... antec units are pretty much on par with them.
