My System Specs

Default are the E8400 out yet?
yeah are they out yet?
im planning to build a rig as soon as they are available through ncix
locally im from toronto
canada computers has it for sale as OEM
is that good or bad?
What oem stand for
difference between oem and retail box?

OEM chips are primarily designed for system builders to purchase in bulk, and as such have a different warranty applied to them.

Generally, the retailer is responsible for initial warranty work on an OEM, while you'd deal directly with the manufacturer for a retail box.

I have no qualms about purchasing an OEM cpu as I'm not normally interested in the stock heatsink anywise.

Retail: 3 year warranty, comes with HSF.
OEM: 1 year warranty thru retailer (usually), no HSF.

Actually depends on retailer.

ncix is 7 days of warranty unless purchased with mobo at the same time to make it a year.
