need serious upgrade help
 

well i already have a msi p6-sli v1 with a c2d 6400 and would like to upgrade to a e8400.

my question is which mobo would go well with it.
i dont plan on going sli. will go to a 1066-1333 ram. will mostly be used for gaming.do need sata 2 and raid. already have a 8800 gt.

any idea. i was looking at the abit x35 but heard it doesnt do 45nm chipset yet.

damn computer ugrade every 6 months is killing me.

Nope, you'd need to go with a X38 chipset or higher (intel, I'm not sure where it started with the nvidia chipsets) to get PCIe 2.0.

How long do you generally keep hardware? As it stands, there are no reports of PCIe 2.0 offering any benefit with even the highest end current vid cards.

i usually keep my gear for about 6-12 months. when i buy a new game and cant run it at full specs i know its time.

cant beat this card for price and features. is this card easy for oc. i havent done it in so long.
