Default Core i5 2500K + MSI Z77 Motherboard Good?
NCIX Gaming Bundle Deal Intel Core i5 2500K Unlocked CPU & MSI Z77A-G45 DDR3 CrossFire Motherboard - Bundle Deals - Z77A-G45 & 2500K

Ideally I want the AsRock Z68 Extreme 3 Gen 3 but buying them separate is more expensive than buying it in a combo. The wait for Ivy Bridge is over for me as I've deemed it "crap" since it's not that much of an improvement over Sandy Bridge. Is this a good combo?

I'm sure the Z77 gd-45 will be fine for a gaming build. It might be worth waiting until some more Z77 motherboard reviews are out though.

what about this board? evga z68 sli

Hrm that looks like a good board. It's priced more expensive than the ASRock so I expect it to have more features and everything.

The ASRock Exetreme3-Gen-3 is a good board for $122 and the 2500K at $220 with a $10 gift card at newegg.com.But there are serval brands that make good boards.
