Build me a computer from this site (please)

Hello, I have been lurking here for a while now. I have learned a lot from reading answers to other people's questions.

Here's where I need some help. Could you take the time to build me a system at this page: Premier Computer Canada

I want a Q6600 and the Antec P182 Atx Black Mid Tower Case, all other options are up to you. My price range is $1,000.00 to $1,200.00 or so.

The new system will not be used for gaming.
I don't need a monitor or operating system
I use Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash.
I like to listen to music but do not need a top-notch sound.
I like to watch movies also.
A TV input might be useful.

If you're not gaming and the general use is for Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash, and watching movies, you don't really need a high end system. Just make sure you get 4GB of RAM for your photoshop.

burebista's picks are quite nice, but the mobo looks a tad expensive o.O

Still within the budget though... and still missing that TV Tuner. Are you going to be running Win XP or Vista?

I might want to go with something like this if the budget could be stretched.

Keep in mind that I don't recall hearing about any of those heatsinks so I just picked a big copper one. You could probably save some money here.
Also, about the HDDs, the Raptor is for booting and photoshop scratch disk while the Cuda is for general storage.
The gfx card... *shrug* I really did not know what would be best so I just selected something somewhat familiar, same goes for RAM. Could probably save more money here as well. In fact, go with burebista's RAM. The extra 2GB would do you much good.
The PSU is probably overkill but I like having room for future expansion and when it comes to a PSU imo you don't want to push it.
I went with onboard audio as well. I guess it just keep cost down and unless you are into hardcore audio most people don't notice much of a difference.
Dunno what to say about the tuner though, I know nothing about these so I just selected the cheapest :P

Btw, if you don't get some sort of UPS I might just consider hunting you down and giving you a kick in the rear of your pants. You could go with something a bit cheaper I guess but come on, don't skimp on your power providing/safety increasing components.

Going to try for a lower budget one now. This time I will pay more attention to the price. heh

If he's not overclocking, he won't need an aftermarket cooler for the CPU.

Yea, I am just not sure about airflow in that case. Also, having a nice quiet cooler is good for when watching media and listening to music and such.

It won't remember the tuner I selected so I am going with this. If you want a tuner you really should look into all the offered ones yourself though. I have heard good things about what IIRC was the Elgato Hybrid or something. Or was it one of those eyetv ones?
And no, I will never back down in regards to a UPS unless you already have one. I don't know if that UPS would be enough though as I have no clue how to calculate VA. So yea, I am just guessing. In the long run, even 5 seconds of use is adequate if the longest your power is normally lost or fluctuating for is only a second or two.(like out here, That is why I have a UPS but the batt is not in good shape and I am using a discontinued model so I am thinking about doing some non-standard replacement)

On the plus side, if you do not want that raptor you can ditch it for either a smaller one or none(knocking off almost $200). If I was getting a drive like that I would likely have windows keep it's paging file or w/e there.
As for the gfx card, I just wend for cheap there.
