My System Specs

Default Cannot choose X79 board! Stuck between 3 of them.
I'm making the move to the 2011 socket soon.. Need help picking out a motherboard! So, I can then go pick some nice ram to go match it and all the works.. I can go as high as the Rampage Formula, but I don't know if I need such a board. My build will cost about 1800 if I did that. Anyone that has these boards can make a recommendation?

MSI X79A-GD45 (8D) (I like the pricing on this one. Has everything!)

ASUS Sabertooth X79 (Another good one, kinda leery about that fan on it, it'd be fun to work with the color scheme. It probably overclocks as good as the Formula.)

Great read and article! I might just buy it! Grab some of those tan-ish Corsair Vengeance sticks. Get some Cold Cathode's too.

Hopefully, the fans don't make too much noise.

Fans are adjustable on a number of levels so they can be as quiet or as noisy as you need. I couldnt hear them over my video card fan personally.

I just got a gift receipt for the Sabertooth x79 should have the physical one in my hands tomorrow I actually only wanted it after your review haha, was going to use my partner points to get a Rampage but saved the points to get tons of fast ram

Yeah it is a nice board was sad to see it go but then again I have a rive sitting there gathering dust for the last 2 months.

Already pulled the trigger on one! My order should be coming in soon! It'll look nice with my GTX 580 classified I had sitting around..
