Has the price dropped at all on the RIVE as yet ? It's a sweet board. I have been running one for about a year now. Paid $500 for it when it came out, figured it should be down to $400 at this point.

ASRock has some nice X79 offerings in the Extreme9 & Extreme11.

The Sabertooth is a good board by all accounts I've heard, and if the OP has got his he'll be happy. Of course, he could be happier with a board with EXTREME in the name, but hey, who am I to judge?

Do you want 6 cores with HT without going to a Xeon? Then you go X79. Do you want native x16/x16 PCI-E for SLI or Crossfire? X79. Z77 is max quad core, and doesn't do x16/x16 natively. The few boards that are x16/x16 capable have a Plex chip in them.
