Default Marginal upgrade with AMD 1100T?

Someone is dangling a 1100T for a pretty good price even tho I can barely feed myself, I'm tempted. I'm running a Q6600 OC to 3.0 right now with 8GB of RAM. I'm wondering how much of an improvement would it be to move up to a 1100T. From all the benchmarks I read, the 1100T is closer to an i5-750 which is about to be 2 generation old. I do however have an Asus Crosshair IV and plan on reusing my ATI 4850 so the cost would be around $200 for this upgrade. I want to start playing BF3, X-Plane 10 beside Civ 5 and TF2. I already have a 1055T to do encoding work.

Any suggestions?

Umm if you have a 1055T for encoding work why not just OC that and use that for gaming too? Especially since you say you can barely feed yourself. With a decent motherboard you can easily get the 1055T up to 3.8GHz or higher the only thing that limits you is the locked multiplier which really isn't a limitation with a good motherboard.

Edit: This may be helpful if you want to OC your 1055T

From a pure processing power perspective, IIRC my Q6600 @ 3.6 was putting out about 8K SMP PPD while my 1090t @ 3.8 was putting out closer to 13K SMP PPD. Add to that the extra cores for situations where that would make a difference and IMO a 1100t would be a reasonably good upgrade from a Q6600 so long as the price was right.
