Default Server CPU question

Well I'm looking to buy a new server and co-locate it locally, I don't need anything fancy but I found one with dual E1560's at 3.0ghz but I sorta wanted to go for quads, basically two of these
Intel Xeon E5335 2.0 GHz Quad Core Processor SL9YK 2.00 GHz / 8M / 1333 LGA 771 | eBay

What would be better?

Or should I scrape this idea and just go build a brand new server? It's basically just a master server to host my few sites and the "Master Node" to control a few hundred other servers.

What exactly do you mean by "master node"? But you should be fine with a couple E5335's if it isnt too demanding.

For solusVM, basically you control all of your "slave" servers with it, by adding, removing clients and such. The master node also monitors the other servers for everything, uptime, pings, bandwidth monitors and such. So it's somewhat demanding with more then 100 slaves in the mix.
