My System Specs

Default is intel planning on continuing use of 1155?

is intel planning on using the 1155 socket later on with the new sets of CPUs they are coming out with or is it a bit of a money sink for a temporarily good CPU?
it seems like it would be a bit of a waste of there's pretty much no usability above the one set of CPUs that they released.
I did try googleing it, but there were either unanswered questions or people asking of their computer using that socket was good.

1155 will be compatible with Ivy Bridge processors

2011 will be compatible with Ivy Bridge E processors, should they be released.

Haswell and Broadwell processors will likely require a different socket due to new technologies contained therein. According to Intel, Haswell is due out in Q1 / Q2 2013 but that is of course subject to change.

because so far all the one's listed that are 3000 cpu's are socket 1155 and i would bet following intel formula that the ivy bridge cpu's for socket 2011 will be a different number

like 3800 and up or something and maybe you should look at the numbers for the ivy bridge cpu there all 3000 i would bet that intel is listing them high 3000 or 4000 once ivy comes out for socket 2011 only time will tell us

so they are just coming out with more power efficient copies of what's already out? or is there something useful that the 3k series offers? and I guess at least they aren't just dropping it almost as soon as they made it.

well from what i can tell with the new chipset you get usb 3.0 and some small stuff but also 22nm should overclock much better then 32nm and early reviews show a fair size increase in performance all my boards have 22nm bios on them know so there ready lol
