What is the overclock you are aiming for with SB?

IMO features of the high high end Maximus Extreme are not worth it. There was someone selling a P8P67 Deluxe here for $110+ship -- that price for that board is a steal. It has dual gig lan, SLi/Xfire, PCI slot for old stuff (old soundcard maybe), and a very handy USB3.0 3.5" bay box.

Just because it's not Z68 doesn't mean it's not a great performer. It clocks my 2600K just as well as my M4Gene-Z. If you don't plan on using Virtu or SSD caching it's a great way to get a well featured board.

i was going to buy the evga but i didnt want to wait for no bios updates

as of today no one has been even close to asus bioses
gigabyte hasn't even bothered to update bioses properly
looks like they did the same like in the x48 days

the gene-z outperformed my ud7 in every way
the mive is better than all others
msi has major ram issues
gigabyte has bios issues
evga has some quirks
asrock is better than than msi gigabyte for stability

in the end it all depends on you
what level of overclocking and stability you want
beleive me you get what you pay for

well at lest the Gigabyte UD4 did something for me in the sence that it has some pci slots, im kind of big on the hybrid gamer ~ server mobo meaning lots of upgradability for add on cards and what not and that's something of late a lot of mobos don't seem to have.

lol, not all ways.
behold the gigabyte $80 EP43-UD3L whatever board with a E5200 +full size water cooling kit and piles of ghetto mods for cooling
man the overclocking options on this mobo for its price are just wrong, grate bios.

OWNED! "just joking" what do you want for a $50 cpu
ps i run it like that 24\7 for years now.

Well, heres the new gear, broke down and emptied the bank account, but now a very proud owner of a 2500K and maximus, will make a nice fit with the Gskill 2000mhz, and 6950!..., not a huge fan of CM PSU's, but from what I have read this seems like a pretty good one, plus it was local for a decent price..

Very nice, I'm surprised you didn't go for 2600k/2700k since you were going all in.

Let us know how your OCing goes.
