Default Microsoft Tries Again: Second Win 7 Bulldozer Hotfix Now Available

After their first attempt to improve Bulldozer performance through a Windows 7 scheduler was quickly pulled due to performance issues, Microsoft is trying yet again to introduce a new core scheduler update.

Interesting read,sadly imho the hole 8 core cpu topic is pointless because of the way symmetric multiprocessing works.

All cpus are plugged in to the same memory bank and each cpu that gos 100% active chokes the other cpu next to it.

last i checked a twin core is only 50% faster then a single at the same speed and cpu type, then it gos down hill from their.

:confused: Quads seem to be doing quite well, and there are mature hex and octo core designs doing well too. Bulldozer just came too late with not enough.
