Default Rampage IV Extreme Fan Headers

Does anyone know how many amps and watts each of the fan headers supports for this board? Couldn't find anything in the manual, tried phoning in to the support line but I just spoke to a mindless drone who doesn't even know what a motherboard is.

Thanks in advance!

Well I guess I am blind.

I am assuming all the 4 pins (not just the cpu) are 12w?

Probably not actually.....I've gone through my mobo book, you are right ,it doesnt say.

I'd say stick below 3 watts (250 mA).I think you'll find most fans are below that anyways.

I'd say it should be OK, but I'd run them off another header rather than the CPU fan, in case you do have problems and burn out a header.

Yah, makes sense.

My friend ran his 3.25 DDC pump (20w) off his fan header and fried the header and part of the pcb got burned in the process. Doesn't sound fun. o.O

8 fan headers and you need to run 4 off 1???
how many fans are you running all together?
is this machine going to hover 2 inches off the ground?

correct all are PWM fan header (4 pin) @ 1A 12W

older MB's 3 wire supported 2A 24W

thats why best use online manual for getting revised current info
