just overclock your cpu

you better off with a good 920 D0 than an overated 965
i had 2 975x and my 920 is alot better

I'd agree. While I usually run my 920 at stock speeds, I've managed stable overclock up to ~4Ghz (I don't remember exactly off the top of my head) with a good cooler.

Yeah, I've got a 920 (C0) that is stable at 4.2GHz on air.
I'm happy with it until I can get a 6-core.

If you are going to be using your rig primarily for gaming then extra 2 hyperthreaded cores will be an over kill for the price. Unless you are going to be folding then yes. I would overclock the **** out of the 920 untill it dies and then get something better, like sandy bridge or something!
