Switching mobo's
Hi all. Last night I ordered a new motherboard and computer case from NCIX. Woot! I am going to be switching from my Corsair Obsidian 650D and ASRock Extreme 4 Gen3 to a Fractal Design Define Mini and an ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z.

Why am I switching? Just because lol. I also am not fond of the enormous size of the 650D, as nice of a case as it is. It dwarfs my 24" monitor. I will simply be swapping everything over to the new case along with the new motherboard.

Is there anything I need to know or should do before hand?

Do I simply uninstall all the ASRock drivers and then simply install the ASUS drivers? Or should I completely wipe the SSD which is my boot drive and start over? I would love to simply swap the SSD and everything else and have it up and running but I am afraid that probably won't be the case.

Your tips and advice is greatly appreciated. :)

Both boards are Z68 chipsets, no driver removal is necessary. You will just have to install the drivers for your network and onboard sound, and everything should be fine.

Whoops. I forgot to put the P67 part in there. ;)

It should still be just a boot and load new drivers.

Ok awesome. So I don't have to remove the old ones? Just add new ones?

Thanks SugarJ :D
