Default AMD X2 6000+ vs Phenom 9550

Which do you think would be the best option for gaming. I am currently runninga x2 4000+. I am willing to wait until the 9550's are out.

5000+ Black Edition is the best possible bang for the buck for AMD gaming. Quads don't help any in games since most games barely use 2 cores properly.

No, the BE does not come with a cooler. I use a Scythe Shuriken on my BE and it works great, keeps my CPU nice and cool while overclocked inside a small HTPC case. It uses the stock mounting base.

If you mean the ram in your sig then you'd need DDR2 ram, can't use DDR1
