My System Specs

Default Intel i5 2500k
Can the intel i5 2500k processor run DDR3 RAM at 1600Mhz or higher?

Yes. You should be more worried about the motherboard.

Yes. I have my memory running 1866 now. I have seen others post with numbers higher than 2133 (via overclocking RAM). As Lark said, look to mobo/bios for options.
