Default What would be a good MoBo for the AMD FX-8150

Hey,

I am going to upgrade soon. SO, I am waiting on AMD to release the FX-8150 and may upgrade to that. What would be a good motherboard to use for AMD? I do like ASUS. But open to suggestions. I will be using a single HD5850 but may crossfire at a later date. Not sure. I already have 8 gig kit of Ripjaws DDR3 1600. Thanks

Well, how much do you want to pay?
I bought myself a crosshair 5 for the upcoming bulldozer, but originally I was going to go for the Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 :NCIX.com - Buy Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 AMD990FX ATX AM3+ DDR3 4PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 1PCI SLI SATA3 USB3.0 Motherboard - Gigabyte - GA-990FXA-UD3 - in Canada , super value and looks nice and it's perfect if you want to run not more than two video cards.
Basically any 990FX board will be a nice fit.

well if you like asus, and are only thinking of using 2 video cards you could look at the 990FX sabertooth, i love mine has plenty of features and stuff but not too flashy.

I would pick between these:

MSI 990FXA-GD65 ATX AM3 990FX DDR3 2PCI-E16 4PCI-E1 1PCI CrossFire SATA3 USB3.0 Motherboard - DirectCanada

Newegg.ca - ASRock 990FX Extreme4 AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

I was looking at the ASUS Sabretooth board as well. It's about $185. Will the MSI 990FXA-GD65 be a good board to overclock with?

ive seen the gd65 in person and really all it is is a cut down gd80 this time. and ive never had the best luck with msi boards. but the north & south bridge heatsinks along with the vrm heatsink are all a little dinky. stick with asus, giga, or asrock ( since theyre owned by asus )
