Where did you hear that?

That board has numerous issues from BIOS problems to software BSODs.


Personally, my vote goes to the ASUS board. Their Z68 BIOS maturity is at least two generations ahead of Gigabyte, MSI, etc. and their features are (almost) second to none.

Is there not a revision of the p8z68-v that includes PCI-E 3.0? I think it's called gen3 or something.

How about the gigabyte ga-z68xp-ud3p? Same price as asus p8z68-v. I also see that gigabyte has better review than asus mobo. What do you think guys? Arghhh. Cant decide. This is hard than building your pc.

The new GEN3's are coming out with PCIE 3.

After doing a ton of researching, I chose the -V and I am more than happy with it. The Gigabyte is still a good board just no UEFI.

I haven't seen or read of any bad news regarding the ASRock Extreme 3 Gen 3 or whatever the naming is lol.

pci-e 3.0 is a gimmic


gigabyte boards dont compare to asus boards this round

Ditto. I read of more issues with the more recent Asus boards. Tons of posts of having problems with the Asus P8Z68 boards.
