Default I need to choose a 1155 motherboard for my first system build

I am a first-time system builder and I cannot decide which mobo to chose. I would like USB 3.0 and Sata III as well. I am planning on using a GTX 560 directcuII and an i5-2500k. My price range is up to 150, which is 240 $canadian. I would prefer a z68 chipset, but as I am a noob, I may not make the right decisions.
Please can you help me out?

My System Specs

Default

Hi, I am a first time system builder just having built my first system recently as well. I am not sure if you need a Z68 and to be honest I am not even sure of the differences between z68 and p67( I think it's the smart response technology and SSD caching? IDK). I decided to go with the p67 myself. Anyways here are a few of the boards you might want to chose from in z68. Most manufacturers have a similar board in p67.

GIGABYTE GA-Z68XP-UD4 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

ASRock Z68 EXTREME4 GEN3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

ASUS P8Z68-V PRO LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

If you look into the P67 and find it will suit your needs fine you might be able to save a few bucks.

You can use the comparison tool on newegg and be sure to read lots of reviews!

Hope this helps!

If you plan on doing any overclocking (you have a 'K' chip listed, so one would assume so), I would stay away from Gigabyte right now - their voltage options and settings are a MESS right now, as I found out after I bought one. My last 2 high end boards have been giga, I have had excellent luck with them and so have no long term bone to pick, but I'm not very happy with this one.

I'd recommend ASUS.

I'm very happy with my ASUS P8Z68-V PRO. The UEFI BIOS is very nicely laid out and it was easy for me, a relative novice, to achieve a decent overclock.
