Default What Happened to USB 3.0

USB 3.0 has been around now for a couple of years and yet I'm still having a hard time finding a desktop with this interface built in. I know that I can buy a suitable motherboard and build my own but why are manufacturers like Dell and Gateway not offering units with USB 3.0? I bought a USB 3.0 external hard drive a year ago and am still using it in a USB 2.0 port.

Confused

2-Port USB 3.0 SuperSpeed PCI-E Controller Card - Free Shipping - DealExtreme

Grab one of those if you must stick with prebuilts for some odd reason.

Interesting. Literally EVERY notebook that's come out in the last 2 months has had SuperSpeed USB included.

That's if you're buying them from etailers or big box stores, Walmart, which unfortunately quite a few people buy their computers from typically has 6months to 1 year old systems that they sell for just under what the other big box stores are selling for that lure people in.
