Gigabyte G1.Sniper 2 Z68 Motherboard Review Comment Thread
Gigabyte has been pushing their G1 series "gaming" motherboards for some time now but the Sniper 2 represents their first step away from the aging X58 platform. Not only is this board more affordable than its predecessor but it also comes with Z68-exclusive features like SSD caching and Virtu GPU switching technology.

Great review Eldonko,:thumb: the motherboard looks good with all its goodies. But I think I will hold off before spending Over $300 on a LGA1155 board until I see what the LGA 2011 are like.

Please refresh my memory if it has already been done, but have you ever benchmarked the Killer NIC? I always thought of that NIC as a gimmick. I don't see how optimizations at the chip can possibly make a noticeable difference when you have to go through a 6+ foot cable, then a switch / router, and most importantly the Internet to get to a game server. I think a comparison between the following would be really interesting:
That said, it's obvious where I stand with the motherboard - I'm not paying extra for that Killer NIC. Give me a motherboard with an Intel NIC and $20 less on the price tag and maybe I'll consider it.

Depends on what LLC you use. LLC 7 gives about .01v more under load, LLC5 is about the same idle and load.
This bios will fix the 21.33 ratio problem on some RAM sticks
