Older DS3R vs. Newer DS3L

I have a gigabyte DS3, the 965P version and can trade it for a rev.1 DS3R but I'm wonderring if they have found any major boo boo's that have been corrected lately? I don't need RAID so if I were to buy a newer board then the DS3L would fit the bill but looking at the pics on the GB website the the PWM area looks much more substantial on the R version.

Can anyone think of a reason that I would want to buy a newer version L or should I jump on the free upgrade to the ver.1 DS3R?

the rev 2 ds3L only added USB ports and headers, nothing more.

From what I have heard, otherwise the L and R are the same (cept for raid).

cost being the same I would go for the R, if its not, then the L if raid isnt needed....
