Default Intel Batch Codes

In case any of you were wondering what those batch codes mean well here you go... found this on another site..

---
Example: L149A463-0726

1st letter or digit = plant code (Malay)
0 = San Jose, Costa Rica
1 = Cavite, Philippines
3 = .............., Costa Rica
6 = Chandler, Arizona
7 = .........., Philippines
8 = Leixlip, Ireland
9 = Penang, Malaysia
L = ............, Malaysia
Q = ..........., Malaysia
R = Manila, Philippines
Y = Leixlip, Ireland

2nd digit = Year of production (2001)

3rd & 4th digits = week (49th week )

5th - 8th digits= lot number

10th - 13th digits = serialization code
---

According to that..

My batch code is: Q743A74A

Which means it was made in Malaysia in 2007 on the 43rd week which is in November! Almost 2.5 months prior to the release.

Which means my processor was from last year

Interesting huh.. could explain a lot of things about my processor.

wow your chip was made only a few weeks after mine-E6750 "ultra low volter"!
Guess they wanted to shift as much of the 65nm parts as possible before christmas.

Yah according to that my chip was the 74th batch to be made in the 43rd week of last year.

It seems the earliest batch numbers of the 8400s are the 40th week which means mine is only 3 weeks after initial production and the 74th run
