Default A8-3800 Stepping

I hadn't heard that the A8-3800 was a different stepping. They seemed to be out for early review with the A8-3850s and there was an interview with Brent Barry on Newegg that had A8-3800 boxes (not that they necessarily contained any processors ).

Has anyone heard when the A8-3800 will be made available here in North America?

Thanks.

I've tried to check into this a bit a more and what I've found seems to indicate that the first A-series APUs are B0 steppings. The table below is from an ECS website for their A55F-M3 (V1.0) motherboard.

Skt_Family___Proc_P/N Number____Watt_Freqncy_L2_Stepping
FM1 A-Series 3850 AD3850WNZ43GX 100W 2.90Ghz 4M B0
FM1 A-Series 3800 AD3800OJZ43GX 065W 2.40Ghz 4M B0
FM1 A-Series 3650 AD3650WNZ43GX 100W 2.60Ghz 4M B0
FM1 A-Series 3600 AD3600OJZ43GX 065W 2.10Ghz 4M B0
FM1 A-Series 3500 AD3500OJZ33GX 065W 1.90Ghz 4M B0

The difference in power usage may also be in part due to a process called "binning" where the manufacturer sorts the parts based on variation.

There's also more comparison information for the A6-3650 vs A8-3800 here: AMD A6-Series A6-3650 vs AMD A8-Series A8-3800

I haven't seen anything other than "Q3" on the web for a release date for the A8-3800. If anyone finds any additional information, please post it here.

Thanks.
