Which version do you have? There are about 11 different versions out there. I curently have the P5K Deluxe, and the P5K-VM. there is also the P5K Premium, the P5K64, the P5K WS, the P5KC, the P5K-V, the P5K-E, the P5K3, the P5K3 Deluxe, and the plain P5K, and they all have different overclocking abilities. I can overclock my P5K premium from 2.4 to 3.4 gig without it breaking a sweat, but using the same processor and ram in my P5K VM, it won't overclock at all.

There is a good guide for P5K-E series MB's in the overclocking section (overclocking guides). See also other posts for the above MB.

Its is very "easy" to OC memory and CPU's, and GPUs on these boards. BUT there are a lot of tweaks that need to made in the bios to get things moving along nicely and safely.

the p5k deluxe has been pretty good to me, i was able to OC stable on air to 3.5 on a Q6600 with all auto settings but the fsb ;) It could use a few more voltage options though.

Well thats what I like to know what tweaks I need to do first. tried to OC the cpu and ram, but when I exit and save in bios and does not post. Have to restart and go into bios and set to default settings.
So I must be doing some thing wrong.

this guide will help with the tweaks-although its tailore dtowards the P5K-E series
http://forums.hexus.net/hexus-hardwa...s-p5k-add.html
theres also a general link form here with advice for P35 boards.
On top of this I set the PLL volts to 1.5 and the NB to 1.4v.
