ASUS Sabertooth 990FX AM3+ Motherboard Review Comment Thread

AMD has officially launched their latest high-end 990FX/SB950 chipset, and in this review we take a look at the new ASUS Sabertooth 990FX AM3+ motherboard, which is part of the surprisingly popular The Ultimate Force (TUF) product line. Although we don't have any Bulldozer/Zambezi AM3+ processors on hand yet, we still got to put the board through its paces using a Phenom II X6 1100T, while also testing out the newly introduced native NVIDIA SLI support... Nice board awaiting the p67 review since I am stuck on the fence of waiting for Dozer or just jumping on Sandy.
I was curious what was the highest FSB reached on the sabertooth? The 2 cpuz SS are only a standard 200FSB ( okay 203) multi clock and 230fsb on the Auto OC. I would be interested to note the top FSB since I prefer to do a system OC over just a Multi.
The Radar app looks just up my ally, I am always monitoring my temps and speeds via my 2nd monitor.

Nice review, so sad this didn't come with an armor thing plate akin to the p67 sabertooth (that thing could hinder performance all it wants it looks so sleek ME WANTY) ! ! !

Yeah I liked the p67 for a clean look the thing with it though is it doesnt come with a cmos reset button so you have to pull the battery which means you have to pull the Armour shroud. IMO serious design flaw for a enthusiast board.

P67 Sabertooth review will be up on Monday.

And I think MAC just forgot to upload the Max FSB shot. ;)

So far looks to me like there is little to no preformance diffrence between 8xx series & 9xx series so far other then more future compatibility with bulldozer cpu's in the next 2 years if that ..

the 1 thing I feel they could have done at least with 950 is improve raid preformance & more so add trim support in raid as intel has already in there southbridges.

Not trying to crap on the AMD thread but will a 50mm fan be used for the p67 review? IE: both passive and active cooling?

Nice I will have a look back at the review when it is updated.

Again sorry for the OT boys now back to the AMD board.
