Great scores SugarJ...maybe time to get some 1066MHz??? LOL I think your memory is what is holding you back here.
Like I said before...DO NOT RUN ANYTHING besides your benchmarks....every CPU-Z instance is 5Mb of your memory. That's 10 I count right there! LOL

And random reboots are usually a sign of your memory timings being too tight. Could also be that your vCore is one notch too low.

Thanks Prof. I know my memory is what's holding me back. Maybe next paycheck.Maybe not, Lindsey says I spend too much money on "computer junk".

Saw your post about Task Manager tweaking, thought you were somehow getting it from my machine, looked almost exactly like mine (the before shot anyway). I'll try to get it to look like your after shot before I do some runs for HWbot.

Cheers,
"Sugar" Jones

If you're wondering where the Sugar came from, it's a nickname from my rugby team. I had a great nite at practice a few years back, scored 3 tries in a row, someone yelled "Your moves are so sweet we should call you Sugar!" It stuck.

I don't think so much its your memory cause I ran initial 32m test on my machine and I was being your times by a few margins and I only run DDR2-800 memory and its running at 846.

Ya, but your timings are 4-4-4-12, mine's rated at 5-4-4-15 but can't run under 5-5-5-16 yet at 900mhz, still trying though. Prof's got pc2-8500 working at 5-4-4-8. I think that's why his e6850 is outperforming my E8400 (both running at 4.0 GHz).

I'm going to try bumping vCore up tonight. I'm set at 1.4 in bios, but reads at 1.34. So I'll try 1.45 in bios to try to get 1.40 on board. That's the max I'm comfortable pushing it to right now.

Mind you, the system is stable at 455x9 right now, folding like mad for 18 hours and max coretemp at 45. Maybe I should be happy at 4.1 Ghz. Nope.

Mine are rated for 4-4-4-10 but I'm running them at 5-6-6-15 @ 2.2v :)
My e8400 is running at 4.3ghz @ 486 x 9 iirc.

Nice OC!My mem at 2.2v bios as well. I'm not sure if I'm hitting the limits of my board, my memory, or my CPU. I think it's the memory currently.

What vCore are you running at?

vCore iirc is set to 1.45 and I get like 1.41 under load.

I think if I'm gonna be held back by anything its gonna be temps more than anything.

I have a Ultra 120 with a 38mm Kaze and where I am under full load I hit 71' where the "max" is 75'

Also I know I have lots of room with my memory cause I know its good upto 1100mhz :D Gotta love Team Xtreem.

Yup, tonight I'll try upping the vCore a little then to see if I can hit 460-465. I've got no problems with temps right now, maxing at 45. I have to say I'm really surprised how well this Vanquisher works for $30. But I also have 2 coolermaster 120's pulling air in, 2 more pushing air out, and a Spotcool over the mem and NB. I imagine that helps more than a bit.

Airflow is gonna help big time! My CM690 is like a wind tunnel with the fans I have in it haha.
