| Anyone have any advice on the install order of the drivers? Instead of using the CD-ROM (ver 1.5), I was thinking of downloading all the necessary drivers (which I assume or more up-to-date) from the Gigabyte website. Also, I know it is suggested to load the XP Service Packs (or at least SP1) before the drivers, but doesn't that mean that the NIC won't be able to connect without at least that driver installed? |

| Install Windows - install NIC driver from CD - update drivers from manufacturer's website - Service packs / Win Updates.

| I checked my HWmonitor settings yesterday and while I was gaming my Mobo temp hit 59C. I knew this board had cooling issues but that seemed a little excessive, considering my CPU temps never topped 37C that whole time. Do you guys think this is a sensor anomaly or is something terribly wrong? I also noticed once in a while HWmonitor will say that my CPU fan speed reached a maximum of like 2700rpm when my CPU fan's actual max speed is 1200rpm. I wonder why it's so wonky. The highest I've seen my mobo temps reach before this was just 36C, when running 100% CPU, overclocked, and 2 instances of orthos. I was running at stock speeds by the way. I think I have pretty good airflow in my case but I don't have anything blowing directly on my northbridge. Does anyone know where the mobo temp sensor actually is? Does it represent NB temps?

| Double-check the NB block for proper contact.

I'm willing to bet you two have a much different performance level setting. Download Memset 3.4 or 3.5b to view and set it |

| Hi guys, So I have had my PC running for a good 3 weeks now and have had no issues in terms of stability. Looking to start some overclocking on it now, aiming for a stable 4Ghz overclock. I am assuming that I would be aiming for something like 450x9? Just looking for some help here in terms of what bios settings to try. It has been a few years since I have tried overclocking and back then it was a AMD. Things such as dividers, etc. are a little foreign to me. Can anyone suggest some settings to try? Thanks!

| Check this thread out, misterlarry and I working on the same combination of cpu and mobo(well the E8400, but equal to the Xeon E3110). But yes, I've got my board stable at 9x445. 1st Ever OC - FutureMarks Before & After
